Terms of Use

Use of the site and its amounts falls under these rules, which also cover safe handling of pool chemicals.

When you use cloudy-pool-water.com, you accept these terms. Pinecrest Diagnostics Inc., 2201 Cooperative Way, Suite 600, Herndon, VA 20171, United States, runs the site.

1. What you get from the site

You get general information on pool water problems and their usual treatments, plus amounts calculated from the pool size you enter. Each page names a strength, and the amounts apply to common products at that strength. On the amount to use and the way to use it, the label on your product decides.

2. Pool chemical handling

Skin and eyes can be burned by pool chemicals, and the chemicals can also react with one another. Wear gloves and eye protection, read and follow each label, and put chemicals into water one by one. Store them apart. Never combine chlorine products with acids or with other types of chlorine. While you treat the water, do not let anyone swim.

3. No guarantee

Nothing here is promised to fit your pool; the information is provided as it is. Products, equipment and water all vary. As far as the law permits, Pinecrest Diagnostics Inc. is not responsible for loss or damage that comes from using the site.

4. Color chart

A Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license covers the color chart for pool water and its downloads. Copying anything else on the site is not allowed without permission.
