Privacy Notice

This notice applies to cloudy-pool-water.com, a site run by Pinecrest Diagnostics Inc., 2201 Cooperative Way, Suite 600, Herndon, VA 20171, United States.

The data we collect

There are no forms, no accounts and no cookies on the site. For every request, our web host records standard server logs: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, your browser's user agent and the page that referred you. These logs help us run the site, block abuse and count visits.

Your browser is where the troubleshooter runs. Your browser's local storage holds the pool size you entered and your last chosen water look, so both appear again on your next visit; we never receive them. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Sharing

Our hosting provider holds the server logs and handles the processing for us. For advertising, we do not sell or share your personal information. No scripts from third parties load, and lead buyers and data brokers receive no data from us.

How long the data is kept

After up to 90 days, server logs are deleted or reduced to counts that no one can be identified from.

Your rights

If you live in California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA), Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or another state with such a law, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you. You may also ask to correct it, to delete it, or to stop its sale or sharing. Making a request will not change how we treat you, and we do not sell or share the information. Send your request to info@cloudy-pool-water.com; we reply within 45 days, and to confirm the request is yours we may ask for a few details. If we say no, reply to our answer to appeal.

Children

We never knowingly collect information from anyone under 13; the site is aimed at adults with a pool to look after.

Changes

When this notice changes, the updated text takes the place of this page.
